Demon Purple Chicken

So I tried something new this round.

It involved a TON of layers.

This was originally just some quick sketch on my sketchbook, but I used my cell phone to transfer a rough image of it onto Gimp...I re-sketched over it in Gimp to get the proportions slightly better and then went about adding the outlines. Its mostly the coloration and shading that had all the layers added to it - one for the base color, two to add the mottled look to the skin, three for the shading major and four for the lighting major. I coulda added more for an even more complex shading but this looked fine as it was...and I think I might have found a new favorite way to draw.
